How to Make Our Instant Pot Mango BBQ Sauce, featuring Rejuvenate (47 second video)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 15 ounce can tomato puree (note 2)
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 1 ¼ cup Rejuvenate and Goji Berry Whole Plant Juice (note 1)
  • 6 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 ½ teaspoon liquid smoke
  • ½ cup light or dark brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add olive oil in your Instant Pot. Press, “Saute’, and heat until oil is hot.
  2. Add onions to hot Instant Pot. Sauté for about 1 minute. Next add chopped garlic to onions. Sauté for another minute, then turn off Instant Pot. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well.
  3. Place lid on Instant Pot. Set vent to, “Seal.” Press manual and set time for 10 minutes. The pressure takes about 5 minutes to rise before it starts to pressure cook.
  4. When finished, do a quick release and allow steam to escape. Serve with your favorite grilled recipes! 

Notes

  1. Joy D Peach, Mandarin, & Kiwi Whole Plant Juice would work great for this recipe as well!
  2. Make sure you are using tomato puree and NOT tomato sauce or pasta sauce.
